THE MIDWEST'S BIGGEST BLACK BOOK EVENT OF THE SUMMER!

PRESENTS
Aug. 24-25, 2007
Intercontinental Hotel
Downtown Chicago

Make plans to attend this
one-of-a-kind event for
those who enjoy reading
Black books

For the first time, those who love black books will have an opportunity to exchange ideas directly with some of their favorite authors.

The all-day event will feature readings and discussions with the nation’s leading African-American writers, including Tina McElroy Ansa, ReShonda Tate Billingsley, Virginia DeBerry, Donna Grant, Mary B. Morrison, Kimberla Lawson Roby, Lyah Beth LeFlore, Eisa Nefertari Ulen and Terrie Williams.

A special guest appearance will be made by Grammy Award winning performer, Eddie Levert, who will talk about his latest book, “I Got Your Back.” This book is the second title that he co wrote with his late son, R&B super star Gerald Levert, who died unexpectedly in November of 2006.

This is truly a unique opportunity to go between the lines with your favorite authors to learn more about their writing styles, their characters and the source of their inspiration as authors. You’ll also get information on pursuing your own book projects and how to connect with black book clubs.

For a registration fee of just $99 you will be entitled to attend a reception on Friday evening, receive a continental breakfast and lunch on Saturday, attend intimate breakout sessions with all of the authors, and have their books autographed.
